This 1971 mobile home had been well cared for and kept pretty much in its original condition, except for wallpapering some of the walls, replacing the carpet and replacing some appliances in the kitchen.
Then Lynda S. bought the home and set out to transform it into this loft-looking great room floor plan.
Original living room was seldom used. It was isolated from the activity area… the kitchen and family room.
Lynda transformed the living room into a hot spot for entertaining by removing the wall separating the kitchen from the living room, adding solid bamboo flooring, texturing and painting the walls and replacing the heavy looking drapes with light weight ones.
The original dining area with built-in buffet, full-length drapes and wall to wall carpet. Again, this was a seldom used area.
It’s all gone and in its place are solid bamboo floors, textured and painted walls, and light weight drapes and now a hub of activity.
The original family room was where Mr. and Mrs. former owner spent their time.
Now that area has become a dining room that welcomes all who enter.
The original kitchen was well maintained.
Now the kitchen is to die for! Lynda lengthened the kitchen and added slab granite counters and back splashes to the new cherry cabinets. New light fixtures, solid bamboo floors and new appliances complete the transformation.
